Hard Cases is a personal project run by a legal academic. These Terms are an agreement between you and its operator.

The game, comparisons, accounts and opinion modes are for players aged 16 and over.

No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. Creating an account is free and unlocks your case archive and progress that follows you across devices.

We record your answer with a coarse, location-derived country and the time. Your answers are used only in anonymised, aggregated form — to power the comparisons, and to publish or license statistics. Never in a way that identifies you. See the Privacy Policy.

Don’t use bots or scrapers, probe our security, or misrepresent your location to skew the data.

We may change the game, these Terms, or stop running Hard Cases altogether. If we do, you can export your data at any time before it closes. Material changes to these Terms will be noted here with a new date.

Hard Cases is provided as it is. We don’t promise it will always be available, accurate, or error-free.

Australian Consumer Law guarantees that cannot be excluded still apply. These Terms are governed by the law of the Australian Capital Territory.
